EDGAR ACEVEDO
Founder & EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Edgar holds a B.S. in musical theatre [from SUNY Fredonia] and an M.A. in elementary education [from The College at Saint Rose]. During his 30-year tenure as a New York State certified elementary teacher, he enjoyed integrating the arts into his classroom, while at the same time created and produced theater programs for young people outside of the school setting. In 2012 he founded CCYT and with the help of his outstanding team brought it to where it is today.
DANIELLE SCIRICO
Teaching Artist/Choreographer
Danielle has served as a director and choreographer with CCYT since 2012. She holds a B.A. in Performing Arts Theatre with a minor in Arts Management from the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts and is currently pursuing her M.A. in Educational Technology and Learning Design from SUNY Empire. In addition to her work with CCYT, Danielle serves as an Elementary Music Teacher for the Hudson City School District. She is dedicated to providing comprehensive arts education for young people, ensuring they develop skills both on stage and in technical and production roles.
CASSIDY CUTLER
Teaching Artist/Program & Communications Coordinator
Cassidy has been with the Workshop since third grade. She was also an original member of the CCYT Performance Company. In 2013, she became part of the CCYT creative team. Cassidy is still active on stage as a current student of the Muriel Scott Faxon School of Dance. She holds a B.A. in Education and Psychology from Saint Michael's College and an MS in Reading from The University of Albany. Cassidy is currently an elementary teacher with the Chatham Central School District.
DEVIN OVERINGTON
Digital Operations Manager
Devin has been running sound and other technical aspects of theater with the Germantown Central School Drama Club and Upstage Productions since he was twelve years old. He recently helped to design the av and lighting systems with the new Germantown School auditorium. This summer will be his eleventh year with CCYT as their IT and Technical Director. Outside of the theater, Devin has earned his Master’s degree from Marist College in Information Technology and is currently the network engineer with GTel.
OLIVIA ALLEN
Teaching Artist/Company Manager
Olivia has been with CCYT since 2011 and joined the CCYT Performance Company in 2014. She continued performing until 2017, when she became an intern and later a member of the CCYT creative team. Olivia is thrilled to help our students have amazing theatre experiences. She has a B.A. in Early Childhood and Childhood Education from The College of Saint Rose and an M.S. in Special Education and Literacy from The University of Albany. She teaches 3rd grade in the Hudson City School District.
ANNIE DREWELLO
Teaching Artist/House Manager
Annie is the K–12 Vocal Music Teacher at Windham-Ashland-Jewett CSD in Windham, NY with a passion for cultivating confident, expressive performers. She has taught private voice lessons and led theatre workshops throughout New England and New York, working with students across a wide range of ages and experience levels. Annie also serves as a Vocal Adjudicator for the NYSSMA Solo and Ensemble Festivals. She earned her Master’s degree in Music Education from the University of Massachusetts Lowell and is dedicated to fostering musicianship, artistry, and a lifelong love of the performing arts. Annie also actively performs with several community music ensembles including the Hudson River Bells of Athens, and the Treble Choraliers of Catskill.
KELLIE CARR
Teaching Artist/Associate Producer
Kellie is the elementary music teacher at Chatham CSD, where she focuses on nurturing creative expression and musical literacy in her students. With a wealth of experience in school-based theatrical initiatives—including reviving drama programs and directing diverse productions—she is dedicated to fostering artistic growth in young performers. Kellie holds a master’s degree from SUNY Potsdam and continues to share her expertise as a musical director for CCYT.
NADINE GABRIEL
COSTUME DESIGNER
Nadine brings her passion for working with Kids and her creativity to CCYT for the fourth year. As the former owner of JUMP! Indoor Children’s Play Center she created and designed countless costumes for children’s themed birthday parties and events. In the past, Nadine has also designed & created numerous costumes for various organizations, local Schools & Upstage Productions.
WAYNE GEARING
MASTER CARPENTER
Wayne is a lifelong resident of East Chatham, NY. Wayne holds a BS in Science Education and a MS in Education Technology from UAlbany and was a Science teacher at Chatham Middle School for 13 years and Taconic Hills High School for 13 years. His last few years at Taconic Hills he was the Technical Director for their Performing Arts Center and has recently done Scenic Construction for Chatham High School’s musical productions.
EILEEN MALOY
FUNSHOP DIRECTOR
“Miz M” has directed the Funshop summer program since 2013 after retiring from a career of teaching dance and directing a preschool. In addition to Funshop, Eileen worked with children at our Montgomery C. Smith Intermediate School Drama Club program as their director for many years.
CLAIRE PACKET
Social Media & Marketing
Claire joined CCYT in 2025. She has a great appreciation for youth theatre, and loves spreading the word about CCYT ongoings. Claire has a degree in Public Communication from the University of Vermont, and a Nonprofit Management Certificate from Harvard Extension School. She has been working at the Broad Institute since 2016.
