EDGAR ACEVEDO
Founder & EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Edgar holds a B.S. in musical theatre [from SUNY Fredonia] and an M.A. in elementary education [from The College at Saint Rose]. During his 30-year tenure as a New York State certified elementary teacher, he enjoyed integrating the arts into his classroom, while at the same time created and produced theater programs for young people outside of the school setting. In 2012 he founded CCYT and with the help of his outstanding team brought it to where it is today.
DANIELLE DELAMATER
ASSOCIATE PRODUCER & TEACHING ARTIST
Danielle has been directing and choreographing with CCYT since 2012. She helped to develop the summer workshop’s Enrichment Program and is the Director of our Montgomery C. Smith Elementary School Drama Clubs in Hudson, NY. A new graduate, she plans to continue with CCYT in giving children an opportunity to learn and train, not just as actors, but also in the areas of technical theatre. Danielle holds a BA in Performing Arts Theatre with a minor in Arts Management from the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts.
CASSIDY FLANAGAN
PRODUCTION COORDINATOR & TEACHING ARTIST
Cassidy has been with the Workshop since third grade. She was also an original member of the CCYT Performance Company. In 2013, she transitioned from actor to CCYT staff member. Cassidy is still active on stage as a current student of the Muriel Scott Faxon School of Dance. She holds a B.A. in Education and Psychology from Saint Michael's College and an MS in Reading from UAlbany. Cassidy is currently an elementary teacher with the Chatham Central School District.
DEVIN OVERINGTON
IT DIRECTOR & TECHNICAL DIRECTOR
Devin has been running sound and other technical aspects of theater with the Germantown Central School Drama Club and Upstage Productions since he was twelve years old. He recently helped to design the av and lighting systems with the new Germantown School auditorium. This summer will be his eleventh year with CCYT as their IT and Technical Director. Outside of the theater, Devin has earned his Master’s degree from Marist College in Information Technology and is currently the network engineer with GTel.
OLIVIA ALLEN
ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT
Olivia has been with CCYT since 2011, where she participated in our production of Flapper. She continued performing until 2017 where she transitioned to an intern and eventually a staff member. Olivia is excited to be able to provide our students with memorable theatre experiences. She has a B.A. in Early childhood and Childhood Education from The College of Saint Rose and a M.S. in Special Education and Literacy from The University of Albany.
ANNIE DREWELLO
MUSICAL DIRECTOR
Annie earned her Master’s Degree in Music Education from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. She teaches chorus at Windham-Ashland-Jewett Central School, and has taught at several Summer Theater Camps in New England and New York. She teaches private voice students and adjudicates for NYSSMA Festivals. Annie belongs to several community music groups including the Treble Choraliers of Catskill, The Hudson River Bells of Athens, and the Jubilate Singers of Bethlehem.
KELLIE DAINO
MUSICAL DIRECTOR
Kellie is the elementary music teacher at New Lebanon School, focusing on nurturing creative expression among students. She has actively contributed to theatrical initiatives at the school, including the revival of the Drama Club and guiding students through diverse productions. She has a master’s degree from SUNY Potsdam, enhancing her expertise to support young performers' artistic growth as one of CCYT’s musical directors.
WILLIAM SOHMER
SCENIC DESIGNER
Bill is our designer and painter for the musicals we perform on the Chatham High School stage. Bill has worked as designer and scenic artist for Broadway, Off-Broadway, regional theatre, feature film, and TV. He has been the supervising scenic artist at the Santa Fe Opera and after 25 years, recently retired as assistant charge scenic artist at the Metropolitan Opera in N.Y. For the last thirteen years, Bill’s most rewarding work has been creating scenery for the kids.
NADINE GABRIEL
COSTUME DESIGNER
Nadine brings her passion for working with Kids and her creativity to CCYT for the fourth year. As the former owner of JUMP! Indoor Children’s Play Center she created and designed countless costumes for children’s themed birthday parties and events. In the past, Nadine has also designed & created numerous costumes for various organizations, local Schools & Upstage Productions.
STACY HAND
COSTUME DESIGNER
Stacy has worked as a costume designer for CCYT for the past 3 years. She has also designed and produced costumes for the Ballet and all That Jazz dance studio, Upstage Productions, Chatham School District, as well as over a decade of tailoring and clothing construction experience. Stacy loves to work with children and teach them how to express and enhance characters through costumes, props, and accessories.
WAYNE GEARING
MASTER CARPENTER
Wayne is a lifelong resident of East Chatham, NY. Wayne holds a BS in Science Education and a MS in Education Technology from UAlbany and was a Science teacher at Chatham Middle School for 13 years and Taconic Hills High School for 13 years. His last few years at Taconic Hills he was the Technical Director for their Performing Arts Center and has recently done Scenic Construction for Chatham High School’s musical productions.
EILEEN MALOY
FUNSHOP DIRECTOR
“Miz M” has directed the Funshop summer program since 2013 after retiring from a career of teaching dance and directing a preschool. In addition to Funshop, Eileen worked with children at our Montgomery C. Smith Intermediate School Drama Club program as their director for many years.
