Registration for Fall classes is now open!
CCYT offers various programs throughout the year. We offer spring and fall classes that focus on specific skills such as acting, improvisation, or vocal techniques. In addition, our summer musical theatre workshop is a comprehensive experience where students learn many aspects of theatre arts. Our Workshop classes culminate in performances through various mediums including live performances, music videos, and digital web series. Head over to our Musical Theatre Workshop page for more information.
Payment for CCYT classes is accepted by check and credit card. If paying by check, select offline payment when registering your student. Checks can be made out to CCYT and mailed to 45 Payn Ave, Chatham NY, 12037.
Students will work to collectively build a piece of theater through ensemble building games, exercises and radical collaboration. We will explore what it means to work outside the boxes of “actor”, “writer”, or “director” and develop skills in world building, physical theater, and teamwork. This workshop will culminate in a brief presentation of newly created pieces.
Students will strengthen their skills as singers and actors in this workshop with director, author, and vocal performance teacher William Wesbrooks with support from CCYT teaching artists Andrew Stein and Eddie Knight.
This class will take place across 6 sessions: 4 classes, 1 recital day and 1 recording day.
